What is a terrarium?

 

Terrariums are essentially miniature gardens in glass containers. Living terrariums are usually in sealable containers that rely on the humid environment formed inside to create a self-sustaining ecosystem for plants to thrive in. Whereas a preserved terrarium uses non-living and preserved plants to create a garden that is in a permanent state and requires little to no maintenance.
